Key Stage 4 : CCEA English Language

Over the course of 2 years, the boys will complete the following units of work:

  • UNIT 1 - External Examination (1 Hour 45 Minutes)

  • UNIT 2 - Speaking & Listening

  • UNIT 3 - Two Controlled Assessments

  • UNIT 4 - External Examination (1 Hour 45 Minutes)

This course is the equivalent of 1 GCSE.

Key Stage 4 : CCEA English Literature

Over the course of 2 years, the boys will complete the following units of work:

  • UNIT 1 - Study of Prose

  • UNIT 2 - The Study of Drama & Poetry

  • UNIT 3 - The Study of Shakespeare

This course is the equivalent of 1 GCSE.

Key Stage 5 : Edexcel A-Level English Language & Literature

Over the course of 2 years, the boys will complete the following units of work:

  • The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

  • Othello by William Shakespeare

  • Coursework (20%)

  • Anthology

  • Reading Unseen Non-Fiction Texts

  • Librarian

  • Writer / Author

  • Jounalist

  • Teacher
