Key Stage 4 : GCSE Learning for Life & work

Over the course of two years, the boys will complete 3 external exams:

  • Unit 1 - Local & Global Citizenship (1 hour exam worth 20%)

  • Unit 2 - Personal Development (1 hour exam worth 20%)

  • Unit 3 - Employability (1 hour exam worth 20%)

  • Unit 4 - Investigation (Controlled Assessment worth 40%)

Key Stage 4 : GCSE Government & Politics

  • Unit 1 - Democracy in Action

  • Unit 2 -International Politics in Action

Over the course of two years, the boys will complete 2 external exams:

This is a 100% exam based subject. All of the above units are externally assessed.

Key Stage 5 : GCE Government & Politics

  • AS UNIT  1 - The Government & the Politics of Northern Ireland

  • AS UNIT 2 - The British Political Process

  • A2 UNIT 3 - Comparative Study of the Government and Politics of the USA & UK

  • A2 UNIT 4 - Political Power or Political Ideas

Over the course of two years, the boys will complete 4 external exams:

The is a 100% exam based subject. All of the above units are externally assessed. 40% of the qualification in completed in Year 13 and 60% in Year 14.
