Head Boy
Alfie Bickerstaff YEAR 14
I am truly honoured to be appointed Head Boy for the 2025-2026. I have been able to develop skills and qualities that have helped me progress academically and personally over the last 6 years. I have also had ample opportunities that have enriched my life and the journey so far, has been incredible!

I joined Team Ashfield in 2019 and am a former pupil of Braniel Primary School. I joined Ashfield, knowing just a few other people, feeling quite nervous and a little anxious, but I was so well supported, and my worries were quickly diminished. The support that I received from staff and other pupils was second to none, and I have made friendships that I am confident will last a lifetime.
Currently, I am studying at our Ashfield Football Scholarship, completing a level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport. I played for our school football team 1st-5th year, making incredible memories. Being a part of Team Ashfield is a very special, and everyone is valued and encouraged to be the best they can be!
As Head Boy I want to inspire others. I aim to be a presence around school and am privileged to represent such a great school and great people. I also want to repay those who have supported me. The pupil leadership team and I are always keen to hear from all the pupils and will do our best to ensure that Ashfield continues to grow from strength to strength. We have an active Student Council and know that we can work in partnership with our whole school community to contribute positively to #TeamAshfield.
